1. About us

These terms and conditions apply to purchases made from Baba Box Ltd ("Baba Box", "we", "us", "our"), a company registered in England and Wales (company number [COMPANY NUMBER]), with registered address at [REGISTERED ADDRESS].

Our website is baba-box.com. To contact us: hello@baba-box.com.

By placing an order, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a contract.

2. Placing an order

When you place an order on baba-box.com, you are making an offer to purchase the selected products at the stated price. Your order is accepted when we send you an order confirmation email. We reserve the right to cancel or refuse an order at any time prior to dispatch.

We will hold your order details securely in accordance with our Privacy Policy. By placing an order you also agree to that policy.

3. Payment

All prices are shown in pounds sterling (GBP) and include UK VAT where applicable. Payment is processed securely through Stripe. We accept major credit and debit cards. We do not store your card details, they are handled entirely by Stripe in accordance with their PCI-DSS compliance.

Your card is charged at the point of checkout. If payment fails, your order will not be confirmed.

4. Delivery

We currently ship to the United Kingdom. Deliveries to Europe and elsewhere will be available in a future phase.

Risk of loss and title for products passes to you upon delivery.

5. Digital content

Each Baba Box NFC audio card ("Token") gives access to audio content ("Content") hosted at baba-box.com. The physical card is the access key, it does not store audio locally.

Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, by accessing digital content you acknowledge that you lose your right to cancel that content. Your statutory cancellation rights for the physical Token card are preserved, see the Returns section below.

6. Returns & refunds

Faulty or damaged items: If your Token arrives damaged or faulty, please contact us within 14 days of receipt at hello@baba-box.com with a description and photo. We will replace it or offer a full refund, including return postage.

Change of mind, physical product: You have 14 days from the date you receive your order to return an unused physical Token for a refund of the purchase price, under your rights under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. To exercise this right, email us before returning. You are responsible for return postage costs unless the item is faulty.

Digital access: Because the digital audio content is inseparable from the physical Token and is accessed upon tapping the card, we are unable to offer refunds for digital access once the Token has been activated (i.e. tapped and used to stream content). This does not affect your statutory rights for the physical product.

Refunds: Approved refunds are processed to your original payment method within 5–10 working days.

7. Intellectual property

All content on baba-box.com, including text, images, Token artwork, audio recordings, and the Baba Box name and logo, is the property of Baba Box Ltd or our licensed creators, and is protected by UK copyright law.

You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or commercially exploit any part of this website or its content without our prior written permission.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

Our products are designed for children but are sold to adults. Baba Box Ltd is not liable for any harm arising from misuse of a Token or the associated NFC card hardware.

9. Complaints

If you have a complaint, please contact us in the first instance at hello@baba-box.com. We aim to respond within 2 working days and to resolve all complaints within 14 days.

If we are unable to resolve your complaint, you may be entitled to use an Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) scheme. As an EU-based customer, you can also access the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute arising from these terms or from your use of baba-box.com shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, except where mandatory consumer protection law in your country of residence applies.

We reserve the right to update these terms at any time. The version in force at the time you place your order is the version that applies to that order. Material changes will be notified on the website.
