Our story
Baba Box is a platform for children's audio, stories, music, lullabies, world languages, made by independent creators who own their work and earn fairly from it. No screens, no algorithms, no ads.
Paola Masperi, founder and mother of a bilingual daughter, was looking for audio content she could actually trust, stories and music made thoughtfully, by people who knew what they were doing, not optimised by an algorithm for watch time. She looked everywhere. It didn't exist in the form she wanted. So she built it.
The result is a platform where independent creators, storytellers, musicians, educators, illustrators, publish their work as NFC cards: beautiful physical cards a child holds to a small wooden box to play. The audio begins. The screen stays in your pocket. The catalogue grows with every new creator who joins.

We design the experience around the child's ear, not a screen. No navigation, no autoplay, no algorithm. A child holds a card. The audio starts.
Every token was made by someone who controls their work and earns properly from it. Baba Box is a publishing platform for independent creators, not a content factory.
Baba Box works without wifi, without an account, without a subscription. Cards are yours to keep. The audio lives on the device, not in the cloud.
The device is FSC-certified birch, cork, and natural rubber. Cards are printed on recycled card. We make things to last, and to be passed on.
Partner spotlight
The classical tokens on Baba Box, Timeless Classics and Vivaldi's Four Seasons, use recordings released by Museopen, a non-profit dedicated to freeing classical music from copyright so anyone can listen, learn, and create with it.
For every classical token sold, £1 goes directly to Museopen to fund new recordings. When your child discovers Mozart or Vivaldi on Baba Box, they're also helping make that music available to children everywhere.
